Model Rail Show

On saturday, we visited a model rail show at Macclesfeild. This featured many interesting layouts including a live steam 16mm layout. Hopefully I can persuade my Dad to let me have one in the graden!

Rudyard & Brookside

This weekend I ventured away from the CVR, but kept to the North Staffs route at Rudyard lake on the 10.25 inch gauge RLSR. The 2 engines in steam were "Excalibur" & "Merlin", the 2 oldest steam locos, although "king Arthur" was being prepared for use.
Also, we went to Brookside Garden Centre in Cheshire for their 7.25 inch gauge railway. "Jean" was in charge of trains. A new extension, which is due to open in 4 weeks time, will include a new station & picnic area.

Work on the Line

This is my first posting, so get used to my style!
This saturday, work began on the major plan to remove every tree on our side of the fence. Giving an excellent view of the surrounding land & brilliant photo oppourtunities.
The logs will be available for burning, watch for info on http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk
